OverviewThe Teacher must be a dedicated, passionate, and adaptable educator who creates a nurturing, stimulating, and Christ‑centered learning environment. Operating at a 0.20 FTE capacity, the initial assignment will be responsible for fostering the academic, spiritual, and social development of Grade 7 students, with a specific focus on core Humanities curriculum areas (such as English and Social Studies), while supporting students through a pivotal transitional school year.
Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies- Instructional Excellence:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Grade 7 Humanities that align with the BC Ministry of Education’s standards and a Biblical worldview. Target core Humanities subjects to drive academic growth, literacy, and critical thinking. - Classroom Culture & Management:
Create a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that encourages student participation, models servant leadership, and addresses the unique social‑emotional needs of Grade 7 students. - Assessment & Support:
Evaluate student progress through diverse methods and provide individualized support to ensure every child reaches their learning goals. - Collaboration:
Work effectively and communicate seamlessly with parents, students, and colleagues with strong organisational skills to manage a part‑time schedule or job‑share environment. - Innovative Mindset:
Adaptable and eager to implement creative, engaging humanities teaching strategies in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay: CA $54,000 - $87,000 annually (Full‑time equivalent; pro‑rated to 0.5 FTE based on experience and salary scale).

- Certification: BC Teaching Certificate (Preferred).
- Education: BA Degree in Education (or equivalent) with relevant specialty or experience teaching middle‑school aged children (Grade 6–9).
- Skills: Proficiency in English and Humanities instruction, strong classroom management, and familiarity with office software for administrative tasks.
- Spiritual Alignment: A deep understanding of a Christian and Biblical worldview, a commitment to Christian Education, and active participation in a Christian church community.
