As a central division of the Society, Regent Christian Academy (RCA) is our flagship campus‑based school, serving the community through our Sullivan and Cloverdale campuses in Surrey, BC. We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in‑person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and the fine arts. The Teacher must be a dedicated, passionate, and adaptable educator who creates a nurturing, stimulating, and Christ‑centered learning environment. Operating at a 0.20 FTE capacity, the initial assignment will be responsible for fostering the academic, spiritual, and social development of Grade 7 students, with a specific focus on core Humanities curriculum areas (such as English and Social Studies), while supporting students through a pivotal transitional school year.

• Instructional Excellence:
  Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Grade 7 Humanities that align with the BC Ministry of Education’s standards and a Biblical worldview. Target core Humanities subjects to drive academic growth, literacy, and critical thinking.
• Classroom Culture & Management:
  Create a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that encourages student participation, models servant leadership, and addresses the unique social‑emotional needs of Grade 7 students.
• Assessment & Support:
  Evaluate student progress through diverse methods and provide individualized support to ensure every child reaches their learning goals.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work effectively and communicate seamlessly with parents, students, and colleagues with strong organisational skills to manage a part‑time schedule or job‑share environment.
• Innovative Mindset:
  Adaptable and eager to implement creative, engaging humanities teaching strategies in a fast‑paced environment.

• Certification: BC Teaching Certificate (Preferred).
• Education: BA Degree in Education (or equivalent) with relevant specialty or experience teaching middle‑school aged children (Grade 6–9).
• Skills: Proficiency in English and Humanities instruction, strong classroom management, and familiarity with office software for administrative tasks.
• Spiritual Alignment: A deep understanding of a Christian and Biblical worldview, a commitment to Christian Education, and active participation in a Christian church community.
