Youth Health Facilitator at Newton Youth Hub

Join PCRS as a Youth Health Promotion Facilitator at Newton Youth Hub. This full-time role focuses on meaningful community engagement and promoting healthy lifestyles among youth.

In this role, you will coordinate prevention programs aimed at creating a positive impact in schools and the community across Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. Your expertise in working directly with youth and delivering workshops will be crucial in fostering environments that encourage healthy choices about substance use. Be prepared to engage with various stakeholders and promote health initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments and establish service goals

• Develop and present workshops for schools and the community

• Facilitate group sessions with youth participants

• Collaborate on health promotion initiatives and events

• Maintain safety and welfare of youth during activities

Requirements:

• 2-Year Diploma or higher in relevant fields

• Minimum 1 year working with youth in a direct role

• Experience in workshop development and presentations

• Knowledge of mental health and substance use

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
