HORIZON CHURCH
Position Title: Student Ministries Pastor (K-12)
Regent Christian Academy Society serves children and families across our campus schools, online school, and early learning programs. We focus on strong academics, whole-child development, and a Christ‑centred environment where students grow in character and purpose. Our teams work hard, care deeply, and move fast to support a growing and dynamic school community.
As the spiritual heart of this community,
Horizon Church is dedicated to leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We bring the RCAS mission to life through vibrant worship, life‑changing discipleship, and local outreach. Whether through our weekend services or mid‑week ministries, our team is committed to "caring deeply" for our congregation and "moving fast" to meet the needs of our city, creating a grace‑filled environment where everyone can discover their God‑given purpose.

- Refine and further develop a K-12 student ministry by building on existing strengths while implementing a more cohesive strategy and structure to advance our vision.
- Define the discipleship pathway (K-7, 8-12 → beyond graduation)
- Establish clear rhythms: weekly, seasonal, and annual ministry moments
- Would work with Pastoral and Admin team to set the spiritual direction through themes, teaching, and priorities
- Recruit, develop, and lead volunteers, staff, and student leaders
- Build leadership structures that allow ministry to scale
- Invest in raising student leaders, not just participants
- Oversee chapel across RCAS campuses
- Partner with applicable Worship and Production personnel to cultivate student‑led worship environments, providing spiritual leadership while supporting technical and musical excellence.
- Align chapel culture (worship, speaking, running of service) with Horizon Church
- Build and lead a cohesive discipleship approach across Kindergarten to Grade 12.
- Establish systems for mentoring, small groups, and student‑led communities that support spiritual growth.
- Ensure clear progression:
- K-7: foundation and understanding
- 8-12: ownership and leadership
- Create consistent opportunities for students to engage with their faith through both structured environments (chapels, small groups) and student‑led expression (clubs, service, leadership).
