Youth Programs Educator at BC SPCA

Join BC SPCA as a Youth Programs Educator in Surrey, BC, delivering dynamic pet care and environmental workshops to children aged 6-14. This on-call casual position is designed for passionate individuals.

You will work closely with the Regional Humane Educator to facilitate engaging after-school programs, seasonal camps, and special events.

Your role will ensure a safe and inclusive environment, enhancing children's understanding of animal welfare through interactive learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver educational programs on animal welfare

• Monitor participant safety and provide first aid as necessary

• Collaborate with educators and parents to promote events

• Maintain organized and clean workshop spaces

• Assist with one-on-one support for participants as needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid first aid certification required

• Experience with children and animals valued

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Must complete a vulnerable sector criminal record check
