Prevention Facilitator Schools

Impact community health as a Prevention and Health Promotion Facilitator with PCRS in Surrey. This full-time position centers on enhancing youth wellness and educational engagement.

The facilitator will play a critical role in the operation of primary prevention programs serving schools in Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen. You will be essential in delivering workshops, facilitating group activities, and coordinating initiatives that promote healthy lifestyle choices among youth. Experience working with young people and developing impactful presentations is key to succeeding in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process referrals and conduct youth assessments

• Create and deliver health-related presentations

• Facilitate engaging group activities and workshops

• Collaborate with schools on health promotion strategies

• Monitor and report statistical data related to program outcomes

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2-Year Diploma in Child and Youth Care

• 1 year of direct youth experience, school experience preferred

• Skilled in workshop creation and public speaking

• Understanding of mental health and trauma-informed care

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
