Khalsa School Teacher Grades 1

Position: Khalsa School Teacher for Grades 1, 2, 3
Join Khalsa School Newton as a homeroom teacher for Grades 1, 2, and 3 with a start date of September 1, 2026. This role focuses on nurturing young learners within a faith-based environment.
Located in Surrey, BC, we are seeking dedicated teachers to fill three positions. At Khalsa School, teachers receive support and training to become IB certified. You will create lesson plans, teach the BC Curriculum, and contribute positively to our academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a variety of subjects for Grades 1-3 students

• Develop lesson plans in line with school objectives

• Establish an inclusive classroom culture

• Build relationships with students, staff, and parents

• Maintain clear communication with the school team
Requirements:

• Valid BC Teaching Certification needed

• Eligibility to work in Canada

• Preferable teaching experience in Canada

• Knowledge of effective teaching practices

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s preferred
