Mandarin Instructor

Position: Mandarin Instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University
Enhance educational experiences as a Mandarin Instructor for MAND 1110 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University starting September 1, 2026. Engage with students through diverse teaching methods, including online formats.

The Department of Language and Cultures is seeking applications for non-regular faculty on the Qualified Faculty List for Mandarin Foundation courses. Qualified candidates will hold a PhD in Chinese Language or related fields, with demonstrated excellence in teaching for at least two years. Experience in culturally diverse environments and online teaching is particularly valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach MAND 1110 at Richmond campus and online

• Develop engaging curriculum for Mandarin courses

• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback

• Communicate effectively with diverse student groups

• Contribute to a supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• PhD or Master's in Chinese Language or related field

• Minimum 2 years of post-secondary teaching experience

• Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin

• Experience with TCM-related courses is an asset
