Student Assistant for Service Learning Program

Join KPU as a Student Assistant for the Service Learning Program, facilitating meaningful community engagement and enhancing your problem-solving skills. This paid role is ideal for proactive students.

As a Service Learning Assistant, you’ll support the coordination of three service learning courses each semester. You will collaborate with faculty and community groups to ensure project logistics are executed smoothly and that students receive the mentoring they need. Your work will also include drafting reports and conducting vital research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistical support for service learning initiatives

• Assist with wrap-up and communication with partners

• Document relevant course and project information

• Conduct research to inform course content

• Participate in monthly leadership development sessions

Requirements:

• KPU student with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

• Experience in community service and service learning

• Detail-oriented and able to follow directions

• Proficient in MS Office and collaborative tools

• Availability for mandatory training before term
