Student Counsellor

Western Community College is seeking a Student Counsellor to join its team on a permanent, full‑time basis. The successful candidate will provide academic, career, and personal counselling support to students, and coordinate counselling and information services with parents, teachers, and administrators.

$37.00 hourly; 30–40 hours per week.

• Participate in educational conferences and professional development workshops to stay current on counselling practices and resources.
• Provide counselling to students on educational, career, and vocational matters, including course selection and career planning.
• Liaise with teachers, parents, college administrators, and community agencies on student needs and progress.
• Coordinate counselling and information services delivered to students, parents, and teaching staff.
• Administer and interpret standardized intelligence, aptitude, and interest assessments.
• Identify students requiring specialised support and refer them to the appropriate outside services.

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in English.
