Newbridge Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher for combined Grades 8-9. Located in South Surrey, this part-time role spans 9 hours weekly, emphasizing hands-on learning and critical thinking. You’ll deliver lessons aligned with the British Columbia curriculum while nurturing strong student relationships and adapting to diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Science following the British Columbia curriculum

• Plan engaging, hands-on lessons fostering inquiry

• Differentiate instruction for diverse learning styles

• Assess progress and communicate with parents

• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent qualification preferred

• Strong knowledge of middle school science curriculum

• Experience with Grades 8–9 or similar teaching

• Creative, organized, student-centered teaching approach

• Eligibility to work in Canada
