Peer Tutor at KPU Learning Centre

Become a Peer Tutor at KPU’s Learning Centre, where you’ll support fellow students in mastering their coursework. Provide personalized assistance and effective study strategies in a collaborative environment.

This role involves tutoring KPU students in specific subject areas after comprehensive training. As a Peer Tutor, you'll help students grasp main course concepts, provide constructive feedback on assignments, and guide them to additional resources as needed. You will also support transition programs and promote Learning Centre services to enhance student retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor KPU students in designated subject areas

• Explain key concepts for better assignment understanding

• Offer constructive feedback for improving students' work

• Help students identify and access additional assistance

• Promote Learning Centre services and programs

Requirements:

• Must be a registered KPU student with a GPA above 3.0

• Completed at least 24 credit hours with relevant knowledge

• Patient and adaptable in explaining concepts

• Friendly demeanor towards all students

• Provide references from two KPU instructors
