Oxford Learning in South Surrey, BC, is looking for a High School Math and Science Tutor. This part-time position allows you to inspire students while honing your teaching skills after school hours.
This Tutor position requires a commitment to teaching in person starting at 3pm during weekdays, with potential Saturday shifts. Ideal candidates have a solid understanding of mathematics and science including topics such as Pre-Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry. Your effort will not only boost students' academic performance but build their self-confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach up to three students in math and science subjects
• Implement Oxford Learning's teaching methodologies
• Fill in post-lesson notes and student updates
• Uphold a friendly, professional demeanor
• Utilize training opportunities for personal growth
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or related certification preferred
• Experience in teaching/tutoring Grades 8-12
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Capable of balancing multiple student needs
• Vulnerable sector screening required
