Part-Time Grade 8-9 Science Educator

Newbridge Academy is searching for an enthusiastic educator to teach Grade 8-9 Science in a supportive and collaborative bilingual setting. This part-time position offers 9 hours per week, allowing you to deliver hands-on, inquiry-focused lessons and assess student progress. You will work closely with each student, accommodating diverse learning styles in alignment with the British Columbia curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct Grade 8-9 students in science following the BC curriculum

• Design and deliver interactive, engaging science lessons

• Adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs

• Regularly assess students and provide feedback to parents

• Collaborate with peers for interdisciplinary support

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification preferred

• Solid understanding of middle school science curriculum

• Previous experience in Grades 8-9 teaching is an asset

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
