Job SummaryThe Education Assistants will be working under the supervision of the Resource teacher and the Principal of Peepeekisis Pesakastew School and will be responsible for:
Duties & Responsibilities:- Providing support to students with Special Needs within the classroom and/or pullout situations;
- Providing support to classroom teachers when needed;
- Working with the Resource teachers to provide support to students according to the students individual Education Plan;
- Scheduled Supervision of students at recess and during noon lunch;
- Supervision of students on school outings;
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Grade 12 and /or Equivalent
- Early Childhood Certificate is preferred but not necessary
- Physically fit, able to do some heavy lifting
- CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of the team
- First Aid and CPR
