Part-Time K–Mandarin Teacher

Position: Part-Time K–5 Mandarin Teacher
Newbridge Academy  is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging  Mandarin Teacher  to join our team for the upcoming school year.

We are a small, bilingual independent school in South Surrey committed to providing students with a warm, supportive learning environment and meaningful language instruction. Our small class sizes allow teachers to build strong relationships with students and create highly interactive lessons.

Position Details

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:40 a.m.

- 12:40 p.m.

Hours:

20 hours per week

Compensation:
$25-30/hour

Start Date:

September 2026

Responsibilities

Teach  four 45-minute Mandarin classes each day  to students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.

Classes may include  combined grade groupings  depending on enrolment.

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that foster confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Mandarin.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with varying language abilities.

Assist with  daily outdoor supervision  (approximately 45 minutes).

Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to support student learning.

Qualifications

Fluency in Mandarin and strong English communication skills.

Experience teaching elementary-aged students is preferred.

Experience working with both  native Mandarin speakers  and  Mandarin as a Second Language  learners is considered a strong asset.

A creative, energetic, and student-centred approach to teaching.

Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Eligibility to work in Canada.
