The Faculty of Trades and Technology needs a Non-regular Type 1 Welding Instructor for its apprenticeship programs. This position involves providing short-term classes in welding, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. Applicants should have proven industry experience and relevant qualifications to inspire and educate future welders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct short-term welding classes for varying levels
• Foster a safe learning environment for all students
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and skills
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development
• Engage students with innovative teaching techniques
Requirements:
• Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal
• Hold PWP7 and PWP
10 pressure tickets
• Minimum five years of experience in welding
• Pass a Criminal Record Check
• Must be eligible to work legally in Canada
