Carpentry Instructor at KPU

Position: Full-Time Carpentry Instructor at KPU
Drive vocational excellence as a full-time Carpentry Instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. This role involves training carpentry students through theory and practical application.

The Faculty of Trades & Technology at KPU is looking for a full-time instructor to provide carpentry and building construction training. You will guide apprentices through Levels 1-4 and deliver foundational coursework on campus at KPU Tech. Candidates must have significant practical experience and an aptitude for effective teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide students in carpentry techniques and safety practices

• Conduct courses for Apprentice Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4

• Monitor and assess student progress and skills

• Establish a safe learning environment

• Collaborate with faculty for curriculum development

Requirements:

• Must possess an Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement

• Five years of Journeyperson experience in the industry

• Effective teaching and communication skills

• Preference for candidates with supervisory experience

• Completion of a Criminal Record Check is mandatory
