Organizational Structure

This role reports to Communications and Events Coordinator, KPU International

Summary

The Social Media Student Ambassador is integral to KPU International and enhances the KPU student experience with prospective and current international students and community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the KPU International Communication and Events team.
  • Engage on social media platforms in a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • Assist with content for divisional social media platforms.
  • Assist with photo and video recording during KPU International events.
  • Represent KPU International on social media platforms.
Qualifications
  • Good academic standing.
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in communications, marketing, and/or a related field is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Familiar with common social media platforms such as creating video content and social media posts
  • Be comfortable with being on camera and filming video content for social media platforms.
  • Reliable, responsible, and professional with a customer-service mindset.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to effectively multi-task.
  • Sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Available to work across all KPU campuses as needed.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Salary Information

Student Assistants Are Paid As Per The Following

  • Less than one year of post‑secondary (less than 30 credits) – BC Minimum Wage
  • One year of post‑secondary (30-60 credits) – BC Minimum Wage plus 8%
  • With a post‑secondary diploma or degree – BC Minimum Wage plus 21%
