KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide a caring, safe, and nurturing atmosphere within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • Prepare and maintain an organized and inviting Montessori learning environment.
  • Plan and present developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons and activities.
  • Observe each child's interests, development, and individual learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records, including observations, lesson plans, and student progress.
  • Guide children's behaviour respectfully and positively in accordance with Montessori principles.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, responsibility, and respect for others.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, colleagues, and school administration.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and prepare written progress reports when required.
  • Follow all Silver Ridge Montessori policies and provincial childcare licensing requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dedicated teaching team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Full British Columbia Early Childhood Educator certification.
  • Montessori teaching diploma.
  • AMI- or MACTE-recognized Montessori training.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • Previous Montessori classroom experience is preferred.
