Kwantlen Polytechnic University is actively seeking Laboratory Instructors for its Biology Department within the Faculty of Science. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for instructing students and ensuring safe lab practices while encouraging academic achievement. You'll collaborate closely with faculty, making a significant contribution to their educational goals and the students’ learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct laboratory sessions for biology courses effectively
• Uphold WHMIS and biosafety regulations in the lab
• Work collaboratively with faculty on course delivery
• Oversee lab equipment functionality and maintenance
• Mentor students through laboratory processes and safety training
Requirements:
• Minimum of a baccalaureate degree in Biology (Master’s preferred)
• Proven experience in teaching is advantageous
• Proficient in biology lab techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Flexibility to travel between KPU campuses
