About the Role
The Company is in search of a new President and Vice-Chancellor to lead the institution through a pivotal period of growth and transformation. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of advancing the university's strategic priorities, which include upholding truth and reconciliation, engaging with global challenges, and making a meaningful difference in the local and global community. This role demands an exceptional academic leader with a deep commitment to the fundamental purposes of a university, including academic excellence, freedom, teaching, research, and student success.
The President will be responsible for fostering a culture of inclusivity, building trust, and leading the university in a way that is responsive to the diverse needs of its community.
Applicants for the President and Vice-Chancellor position at the company should be accomplished and highly respected leaders with a strong academic background and a proven track record in strategic management. The role requires an individual who is comfortable leading through change, making difficult decisions, and advocating effectively for the university. The ideal candidate will be an inclusive and relational leader, capable of listening to and integrating diverse perspectives.
They will also be tasked with stewarding significant financial, human, and physical resources, and building high-performing leadership teams.
