Part Time Carpentry Instructor KPU

Teach carpentry at KPU Tech in a regular part-time, on-site position requiring current trade expertise and effective student communication. Occasional campus travel is required.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University seeks a Carpentry/Building Construction instructor for Foundation and Apprentice training Levels 1 through 4. The role combines practical instruction with student learning in the Faculty of Trades & Technology. Candidates need current carpentry skills, industry experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with students.

• Deliver Foundation carpentry and building construction training
• Teach Apprentice training Levels 1, 2, 3, and 4
• Communicate effectively with students during instruction
• Provide primarily on-campus training at KPU Tech
• Travel occasionally between KPU campuses

• Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement
• Five years current industry experience as a journeyperson
• Knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with students
• Demonstrated record of successful teaching preferred
• Five years supervisory or administrative experience preferred
