Role DescriptionAs a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of 12‑20 engineers, driving product impact in a virtual‑first environment. You’ll partner with Product Management, set technical direction, and cultivate a culture of innovation.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 12‑20 engineers, managing direct and cross‑functional relationships.
- Partner with Product Managers to plan roadmaps, sprints, and high‑visibility objectives.
- Drive high‑quality execution, balancing feature work and technical debt.
- Set engineering practices, quality, and operations standards.
- Lead Agile processes: backlog, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and technical direction.
- Oversee cross‑org initiatives and manage execution of critical initiatives.
- Conduct career conversations and career planning for direct reports.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of people‑management experience; 10 years of software engineering experience.
- Managed engineering teams of 20+ and experience managing managers.
- Experience building or integrating AI products or platform‑level APIs.
- Strong Agile process experience (sprints, retros, stand‑ups).
- Results‑driven and able to balance execution predictability with agility.
- Built AI‑powered features in production with ML engineers and product teams.
- Strong backend engineering and AI agent infrastructure expertise.
- Experience evaluating AI models and advising on build‑vs‑buy decisions.
- Expertise in distributed systems architecture for scalability and fault tolerance.
Canada Pay Range: $200,600—$271,400 CAD per year. Total rewards include OTE, RSUs, and bonus program.
