The Role
Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering engineering design, technical review, and project support services for capital upgrades and new installations across:
Pressure regulating facilities
RNG, LNG, and propane facilities
Compressor stations
Pipelines and valve stations
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external resources to develop cost estimates, schedule forecasts, ensure design adequacy, and confirm construction feasibility -- all while aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements
What You’ll Be Doing
Prepare and review conceptual and detailed E&I designs for new installations and upgrades
Support electrical services distribution, single-line diagrams, grounding layouts, schematics, I/O and wiring drawings
Contribute to control systems work (DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA/Telemetry)
Participate in feasibility assessments and technical evaluations
Support equipment specification and procurement documentation
Conduct site visits and field inspections as needed
Provide technical guidance to operations teams
Offer mentorship and technical direction to junior team members
Ensure compliance with applicable provincial, Canadian, and CSA codes
This role is ideal for someone who can think technically, communicate clearly, and provide steady leadership on project delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
4–7 years of experience in natural gas transmission & distribution facilities or oil & gas projects
Registered (or eligible for registration) as a P.Eng. in BC
Strong working knowledge of: electrical and instrumentation/control system design
Control systems (DCS, PLC, HMI, SCADA)
Relevant CSA and provincial codes
MS Office and MS Project
We’re looking for someone who demonstrates sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

The role offers a competitive salary in the range of $115,000 - $130,000 depending on skills and experience, along with a comprehensive extended health and dental plan.
