BC as a Senior Geotechnical Integrity Engineer, crucial for the safe operation of our gas transmission systems in British Columbia. Your expertise in geotechnical and hydrotechnical engineering will help manage natural hazards effectively.
This full-time position focuses on ensuring the reliability of our pipeline system. You will identify and manage risks like ground movement and flooding, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Your role will involve hands-on project management, working closely with the Senior Geotechnical Engineer while also engaging external consultants for specialized input.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage natural hazards affecting pipeline assets
• Lead small to medium geotechnical projects from scope to reporting
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on initiatives
• Support field investigations and review findings for mitigation efforts
• Communicate technical information to various stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5-8 years of relevant experience
• P.Eng. designation in BC required
• Expertise in geotechnical engineering and hydrotechnical assessment
• Familiarity with pipeline, energy, or infrastructure sectors is preferred
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
