Switchgear Applications Engineer

Drive innovation in electrical distribution as a Switchgear Applications Engineer at IEM, located in Surrey, British Columbia. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to engage with both technical and commercial teams.
As a Technical Program Application Engineer, you'll report directly to the Technical Program Manager. Your responsibility includes reviewing customer specifications, addressing RFIs efficiently, and creating technical documentation. Collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders will be key to resolving issues and maintaining project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze customer specs for accuracy

• Redline drawings and recommend alternate designs

• Respond to RFIs within agreed timelines

• Develop customer change request scopes and documentation

• Create technical manuals and document revisions
Requirements:

• 5+ years in electrical distribution applications

• Solid understanding of electrical standards like ANSI and IEEE

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• Experience with AutoCAD and ERP systems

• Proficient in MS Office and business intelligence software
