In this vital full-time role, you will oversee environmental risk management and regulatory compliance for Fortis
BC, the province’s top energy provider. As an Environmental Program Lead, you'll leverage your expertise to advise on environmental practices, manage consulting services, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Your role is pivotal in embodying our commitment to sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support project teams in managing environmental risks
• Provide guidance on compliance with environmental legislation
• Oversee environmental consultants and ensure timely deliverables
• Build strong connections with regulatory agencies
• Lead initiatives for continuous environmental improvement
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or similar
• Seven years of expertise in environmental management
• Certification eligibility in relevant environmental organizations
• Comprehensive knowledge of BC and federal regulations
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
Drive environmental compliance and support sustainability initiatives at Fortis
BC.
