Electrical Designer & CAD Specialist at IEM

Take on the role of Electrical Designer and CAD Specialist with IEM in Surrey, British Columbia. Focus on delivering electrical designs for state-of-the-art switch gear products in a collaborative setting.

IEM is actively seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to work within our Switchgear team. In this position, you will work under a Lead Engineer to develop design packages for switch gear, assist with CAD-related updates, and maintain rigorous documentation. Your attention to detail is essential in this production-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create low and medium voltage switch gear electrical packages

• Update drawings and assist with engineering documentation

• Maintain accurate records in design and ERP systems

• Support production teams and manage references

• Address assignments from the Lead Engineer as required

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in a relevant technical field

• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical designs

• Understanding of UL, NEC, and CEC regulations

• Strong detail-oriented approach to engineering tasks

• Experience in a switch gear manufacturing setting preferred
