FortisBC is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer in Surrey, BC, to enhance our engineering capabilities. This permanent, full-time role focuses on design and support for capital projects in the energy sector.
As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will lead engineering design projects, including the installation of new systems and upgrades to existing infrastructure. You will collaborate on various facilities, including compressor and CNG refueling stations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and codes.
Your role will be vital in optimizing system performance and operational safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design projects for instrumentation control systems
• Review compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies
• Mentor junior engineers and provide oversight
• Facilitate external technical committee participation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 4-7 years’ relevant industry experience
• Professional designation as an Engineer in BC
• Proficiency in control system software
• Strong analytical and mentoring capabilities
