Become a key player in propulsion innovation a Merlin Propulsion Engineer, you will oversee engine hardware and drive enhancements from testing to launch and beyond.
In the role of Merlin Propulsion Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing engine components throughout their lifecycle. You will lead test campaigns, analyze propulsion systems, and collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver flight-ready engines. Your hands-on expertise will be crucial in addressing production and launch challenges while maintaining SpaceX's commitment to reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the Responsible Engineer for specific Merlin systems
• Lead hardware testing and qualification campaigns
• Design and analyze propulsion hardware for operations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for engine readiness
• Resolve production and launch issues directly with hardware
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics
• 1+ years of hands-on fabrication or testing experience
• 1+ years using CAD for design
• Strong technical foundation in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and DFMA principles
