Technical Assistant II - City

Make a difference in urban development with the City of Surrey as a Technical Assistant II. Collaborate with a team of experts on civil engineering projects that enhance community sustainability.

Positioned in the Development Services Section, this full-time role involves reviewing land development applications and working closely with Planning and Engineering teams. You will utilize your engineering diploma and practical experience to effectively engage with Developers and other stakeholders. Your excellent organizational and communication skills will be essential in managing complex design-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process land development applications

• Collaborate with various engineering and planning teams

• Foster relationships with Developers and external organizations

• Ensure timely completion of design application reviews

• Perform additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• Two-year Engineering Technology diploma in Civil Engineering

• Minimum three years of related engineering experience

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License is required

• Experience with construction or land development valued

• Strong technical skills and knowledge required
