Senior Accountant

Job Type: Permanent position, 5 days on-site, Surrey BC. Job Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 About the Company

Our client is a distributor that specializes in supplying tools, equipment, and safety gear for utility workers. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team!

• Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and analyzing discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
• Perform financial and variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial expertise and support for various projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level accounting role.
