This full-time role requires at least five years of experience in mortgage underwriting, focusing on complex files including self-employed borrowers and those with bruised credit histories. You will work closely with the Lead Broker and ensure adherence to compliance and risk management practices while maintaining client service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze client applications and credit documentation
• Structure complex mortgage files per lender guidelines
• Negotiate with underwriters and manage lender queries
• Perform KYC and AML checks for compliance
• Review Mortgage Commitments for accuracy
Requirements:
• 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong knowledge of GDS/TDS calculations and credit analysis
• Familiarity with mortgage submission platforms
• Experience with Blu Mortgage or similar CRM systems
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills
