Position Overview
You’re a critical thinker with proven strategic capabilities and track record of confident leadership skills. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, welcoming change and adapting effortlessly to shifting priorities. Alongside your meticulous analytical and research abilities, you’re a tactical strategist who leverages deep understanding of government greenhouse gas (GHG), energy and climate change policies to develop actionable, aligned corporate strategies in the energy utility sector.
You’re also an effective communicator who builds strong partnerships and relationships through transparency and collaboration.
As the Government Relations and Public Affairs Manager, you’ll support the Public Policy Government Relations team’s efforts to research, analyze and communicate on key public policy matters. You’ll also help raise government and stakeholder awareness of our business and contributions to a decarbonized, resilient and affordable energy system, and secure support for our public policy priorities on essential files.
In this role, you will:
BC’s zero- and low-carbon solutions for the buildings, industry, and transportation sectors, supporting BC’s climate action goals.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
