Surrey Community Patrol Officer

Drive community engagement and safety as a Community Patrol Officer 2 with the City of Surrey. This role operates during late evening and overnight shifts to ensure responsive bylaw services.
In this temporary full-time position, you will enhance safety and compliance, investigating complaints regarding noise, parking, and nuisances. Your duties will include overseeing CPO 1 staff, conducting proactive patrols in public areas, and ensuring thorough documentation to support enforcement actions. Your skills will be vital in responding to public concerns and enhancing overall operational readiness for bylaw enforcement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address nighttime bylaw enforcement complaints
• Gather evidence during investigations on private properties
• Enforce parking regulations efficiently
• Patrol parks, beaches, and public areas
• Maintain shift reports and accurate records
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and two related courses
• At least two years of experience in public engagement
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Acceptable education and experience combinations considered
• Must pass mandatory Police Information Check
