In this junior position, you will work closely with the climate action team to implement key strategies for greenhouse gas reduction. Your insights and technical support will drive meaningful progress in one of Canada's fastest-growing municipalities, placing you at the forefront of sustainable urban planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in reducing GHG emissions through technical planning
• Conduct best practices research for policy development
• Support preparation of sustainability documents and reports
• Prepare communication tools and engage the public
• Track and report sustainability impact data
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability or related field
• Knowledge of climate action principles and practices
• Proficient in relevant software applications
• Excellent communication skills with the public
• Willingness to participate in public engagement activities
Contribute to building a sustainable community while gaining valuable experience in planning at the City of Surrey.
