Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator role entails several functions with overall responsibility for monitoring and maintaining the quality and compliance to all relevant regulatory requirements associated with our medical supply and equipment distribution processes. This position will work closely with internal departments, external customers, and external teams to ensure that our products meet or exceed industry standards. This role will be engaging and challenging for an individual that has a desire to learn and thrives in a high-paced environment.
SalaryRange
$60,000 - $65,000 CAD yearly
ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Quality & Regulatory Manager or designate, the duties and responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
Quality Management System- Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System.
- Provide quality oversight and/or manage change controls, deviation investigations, CAPAs, SOPs, training, document control and internal audits, for the import and distribution of drugs, natural health products, and medical devices.
- Participate/lead quality initiatives as assigned.
- Lead and coordinate the recall process in collaboration with warehouse managers and supervisors to ensure timely and effective execution.
- Investigate and document product complaints and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions as required.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Facilitate and assist in preparation/coordination of internal and external audits
- Develop and maintain key quality metrics to track, analyze, and trend performance.
- Perform ongoing analysis to identify areas of continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices related to import and distribution.
- Conduct training on quality related topics for various internal departments (e.g. Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, etc.).
- Foster a culture of quality and compliance through effective communication and training initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or college diploma in a relevant field (such as life sciences, engineering, or public health).
- 2-5 years of experience within the healthcare industry, preferably in medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
- Working knowledge of cGMPs, related Health Canada Acts, and Medical Devices Regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external team.
- Detail oriented with problem solving capability.
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
