Medical Lab Technologists provide accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Through accuracy, quality, efficiency and expediting test results, you will contribute to patient well‑being and better health outcomes.
Status: Regular Part Time
Shift: Wed to Sat, variable shifts between 6 am and midnight.
Discipline: Microbiology
Additional Requirements: Successful applicant may be cross‑trained in the Urinalysis and/or Molecular departments based on operational needs.

- Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
- Prepare and process samples, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Perform, interpret and release results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
- Identify incidents and non‑conformities, participate in the development of effective corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
- Participate in problem solving in work organization and workflow.
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
The Role
- College diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- CSMLS registered and in good standing.
- Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment while adhering to Life Labs standards of safety, accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail who demonstrates curiosity.
- Ability to distinguish multiple colors.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers.
- Problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow up on issues.
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of safety, patient privacy and confidentiality.
