Part-Time Overnight Residence Worker

Support youth in transitional housing as a Part-Time Overnight Residence Worker with DIVERSE city. This role emphasizes emotional support and household functioning from 7 PM to 2 AM.

As part of DIVERSE city, this position provides critical overnight support for young residents facing various challenges. You will focus on safety, wellbeing, and stability in a structured environment. Your active engagement will help foster daily routines and stability for residents navigating crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a caring and respectful presence overnight

• Conduct safety checks and respond to resident needs

• Document incidents and maintain accurate records

• Assist with household duties and meal preparation

• Collaborate with other staff members for continuity of care

Requirements:

• Diploma in a related field or equivalent experience

• At least one year of experience with youth

• Knowledge of community resources in Surrey

• Effective crisis response skills

• Certifications in First Aid, WHMIS, and Food Safe
