Pursue a fulfilling part-time role as a Relief Speech Language Pathologist at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Impact patient lives through specialized assessments and interventions tailored to communication and swallowing disorders.
This part-time position at one of B.C.'s largest hospitals is open until May 2027 or until the current pathologist returns. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient and family-centered care. This role encompasses critical responsibilities including intervention planning, ongoing evaluation, and maintaining quality care standards within the Speech Language Pathology department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments of communication and swallowing skills
• Create evidence-based strategies for patient intervention
• Provide education and support to patients and families
• Participate in interprofessional care strategy discussions
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adapt interventions
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC
• In-depth knowledge of patient-centered speech-language therapy
• Excellent communication skills in multidisciplinary settings
• Familiarity with speech assessments and therapeutic techniques
• Dedication to maintaining high-quality patient care
