Empower Indigenous health care as a Senior Cultural Advisor. Lead culturally grounded initiatives in a full-time role focused on wellness and advocacy in community settings.
This mid-senior position is vital for promoting traditional and trauma-informed care within the Fraser Salish region.
Your role will focus on mentoring Indigenous Cultural Advisors, building capacity within communities, and ensuring that Indigenous perspectives are integrated into health practices. You will guide the development of culturally safe care programs intended for diverse clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide mentorship to Indigenous Cultural Advisors
• Lead traditional wellness practices and ceremonies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health teams
• Support policy revisions for cultural safety
• Advise clients and families on health care decisions
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 3 years in Indigenous health settings
• Valid BC Driver's license mandatory
• Strong knowledge of local Aboriginal cultures
• Commitment to community-driven health initiatives
