Become a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse at Fraser Health in the Psychiatric High Acuity Unit, where you will provide impactful, recovery-oriented care. This position focuses on assessment, intervention, and compassionate counseling.
In this role, you'll be integral to a supportive healthcare team, delivering vital psychiatric nursing services to patients experiencing acute mental health challenges. You will utilize your skills in crisis intervention and psychosocial rehabilitation to create customized care plans and support systems for your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments for mental health disorders
• Collaborate on psycho-social treatment and evaluation plans
• Lead individual and group therapy utilizing evidence-based practices
• Document assessments and facilitate client education
• Support a safe therapeutic environment on the Unit
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• One year of related mental health experience required
• Current registration as RN/RPN with BCCNM
• Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
