If you're enrolled in the Respiratory Therapy Program at Thompson Rivers University, this is a unique opportunity to apply your knowledge in a supportive setting. You will engage in direct patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring you build your confidence and expertise as a future respiratory therapist. The program starts for Level 1 students in September 2026, and Level 2 students in November 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and document patient health status
• Collaborate with the respiratory therapy team
• Document health care services accurately
• Report changes in patient status accordingly
• Participate in care planning and evaluation
Requirements:
• Completion of Level 1 midterm competencies
• Active enrollment in a recognized respiratory program
• Basic Life Support certification
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems
