Support adults with disabilities as a Community Living Counsellor in Surrey, BC.
Your role will focus on person-centered support to foster independence and personal growth.
Join the Community Living Society (CLS) as a Full Time Counsellor. You will be engaging individuals in activities that enhance their daily living skills, community involvement, and overall quality of life. Key duties include providing home support, managing personal care, and facilitating life goals alongside community outings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist individuals in achieving various life goals
• Support with personal care and home duties
• Engage in community outings and leisure activities
• Maintain daily records of activities and progress
• Foster independence through skill development
Requirements:
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Clear criminal record check (covered by CLS)
• Ability to navigate a wheelchair and public transport
• Willingness to obtain a Class 4 license for permanent role
• Experience in high behavioral support preferred
