Fraser Health seeks a skilled Casual Social Worker to join its Mental Health and Substance Use Services team. This role involves providing clinical counselling and conducting assessments for clients with serious mental illnesses. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage in community resource planning and psycho-educational support to enhance client care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver therapeutic counselling to clients and families
• Conduct comprehensive social work assessments
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal care
• Facilitate discharge planning and care coordination
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Two years' experience in a mental health setting
• Full registration with the BC College of Social Workers
• Valid Class 5 BC driver's license
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
