Job SummaryFraser Health Authority is seeking a Lead, Health Informatics to join our Clinical Informatics and Digital Health team. This role provides leadership across health informatics initiatives that support clinical and corporate business areas, enabling the effective use of information and digital solutions to improve care delivery.
About the RoleThe Lead, Health Informatics is responsible for leading and managing assigned projects, providing day-to-day leadership to team members, and applying appropriate change management strategies throughout the project lifecycle. This role partners closely with clinical and corporate stakeholders, offering expert advice, guidance, and direction within an assigned portfolio.
Key areas of focus include knowledge management, decision support, and the development and implementation of application architecture. The Lead, Health Informatics also provides expertise on enterprise-wide initiatives and serves as a backup to the Portfolio Manager in team leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage assigned health informatics projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members
- Apply effective change management strategies to support project success and adoption
- Advise clinical and corporate stakeholders on knowledge management, decision support, and information system solutions
- Support the development and implementation of application architecture
- Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives and initiatives of strategic importance
- Act as backup to the Portfolio Manager for team leadership activities as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering
, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience - Five (5) years of recent experience in business and systems analysis, including experience as a project manager
- Demonstrated experience working with health and corporate information systems
