Client-Focused Program Assistant Position

Support clients daily as a Program Assistant at The Nest. Provide essential emotional, social, and physical assistance while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all.

As a casual Program Assistant, you will work under the Program Manager and contribute to meaningful life skills development for marginalized populations. This role involves medication administration, client support for daily living activities, and maintaining accurate documentation. Your efforts will help ensure proper care in accordance with established schedules, fostering a positive atmosphere at The Nest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide feedback on clients’ needs and progress

• Assist clients with life skills and personal hygiene

• Administer medication and offer reminders

• Participate in social and recreational activities

• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and support a healthy environment

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and Community Social Service certificate

• 1 year experience with marginalized populations

• First Aid and CPR certification required

• Satisfactory criminal records check required

• Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
