Respiratory Therapist

Position: Brockville General Hospital Respiratory Therapist
Join Brockville General Hospital as a temporary part-time Respiratory Therapist engaged in impactful patient care. This role promotes collaboration in a community hospital environment and involves diverse clinical settings.

Reporting to the Manager of Allied Health, this position requires comprehensive knowledge and adherence to respiratory care standards in Ontario. Ideal candidates are expected to engage in education for colleagues and patients while contributing to quality patient outcomes. Close collaboration with medical staff enhances the patient care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess respiratory care standards across all patient programs

• Coordinate with the Critical Care Outreach Team for comprehensive care

• Educate patients and staff on respiratory practices

• Participate in health initiatives and departmental committees

• Identify and promote best practices in patient treatment

Requirements:

• Valid certification from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario

• Graduation from a recognized Respiratory Therapy program

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Familiarity with professional health legislation

• Commitment to continuous education and flexible working hours
