Full-Time Recreation Aide Role

As a Recreation Aide at Extendicare, you will play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for residents. You'll collaborate with the Recreation Manager to implement programs that promote engagement and well-being. The role involves maintaining records, assessing residents' activity levels, and ensuring open communication with families and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement meaningful programs for residents

• Maintain assessments and evaluations of activities

• Communicate with residents, families, and volunteers

• Facilitate outings and assist with meal services

• Uphold organizational values and ethics in all interactions

Requirements:

• Diploma in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or related field

• Prior experience with seniors is preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Complete Vulnerable Sector Check within six months
