Recreation Aide for Long-Term Care

Be a vital part of enhancing resident life as a Recreation Aide at Fairview Manor, within the Almonte General Hospital community.

Your role will focus on fostering engagement through recreational therapy.

Fairview Manor, guided by the compassionate mission of the Mississippi River Health Alliance, is searching for an experienced Recreation Aide to support its 112 residents. Candidates must possess a Degree or diploma in Recreational Therapy and at least two years of relevant experience. You'll have the opportunity to create positive recreational experiences while promoting safety and teamwork among staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead recreational programs tailored to residents

• Advocate for resident participation in activities

• Comply with safety policies to ensure a secure environment

• Provide documentation and feedback on resident engagement

• Assist with movement and activity transportation

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Recreational Therapy is essential

• Experience in long-term care or hospital settings for two years

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and RAI-MDS preferred

• Class “F” driver’s license in good standing

• Empathetic and team-oriented attitude necessary
